About MgIA
Sitting at Karnataka’s southernmost coastal tip, Mangaluru International Airport (MgIA) is one of two international airports in the state. The airport is 16km from Mangaluru city and 22 km from the city’s railway station. MgIA is also one of only three airports in the country to have tabletop runways.
Driven by its vision to be a leading global airport, MgIA has both established a distinctive identity as part of its modernisation and continues to upgrade facilities to ensure passenger comfort. In 2024, MgIA welcomed 2.32 million passengers. Its state-of-the-art cargo facility offers a window into the world for the local economy by facilitating thousands of import and export activities.
